Influenza/COVID surveillance

EcSS noted that the proportion of households with respiratory symptoms ranged between 10-15% in last three months. The corresponding proportion of households with members having fever had increased slightly to 1-3%, compared to that of < 1% over 3 months ago. The weekly proportion of individuals presenting with influenza-like illnesses (either fever or respiratory symptoms) was 11-16%. Our data showed that respiratory infection activity in the community is currently not high. In the presence of continued threat of SARS-CoV-2 transmission, preventive measures like wearing mask and social distancing are widely practiced, while more people were having meals outside in the recent months. As of 10 October, over 70% had received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
